Wat een feest om in het huis van Geert te mogen verblijven! Vanaf het moment dat ik boekte wist ik al dat het een goede keuze was, we kregen direct een warm en gastvrji bericht met extra informatie over de locatie. Geert geeft om haar huis, en dat zie en voel je overal. Ze heeft het huis zo ingericht dat het net lijkt alsof je er echt woont, van kruiden in de kast tot badjassen op de kamers tot handdoeken die klaar lagen en een verkleedkist voor de kinderen. Geen enkele vraag was teveel voor Geert, snelle reactie op berichten, flexibel met aankomst en vertrek tijd, en ze had een geweldige rijstvlaai klaargezet bij aankomst. Kortom: een warme, oprechte, vriendelijke gastvrouw die enkel wil dat haar gasten het naar hun zin hebben.

The host was exceptional and the house was very clean and spacious. The kids really liked the neighborhood and everything went well. The host was ready to even give us lifts to places we wanted to explore.

We had an amazing stay at Geert's place. She welcomed us at her place and we felt right at home. The house is ideal for a group, enough space but still close together. It is well equipped and we had everything we needed. Geert was extremely friendly and a fantastic host. I would totally recommend this place, especially in summer, so you can benefit from the beautiful garden. It is easily reachable and not far from Maastricht. Geert’s Hygge Hotspot Tour was a wonderful experience! We got to know Maastricht from a local perspective which felt very rewarding! Geert is easy to talk to and super knowledgeable. We had a few breaks in between and had the opportunity to share stories. For example, we stayed for a few minutes on a bench on the West side of the city and ate peanuts which Geert brought for us and were roasted at shop in the center which we then visited. We ended the tour with a drink at a rooftop bar, overlooking the city. I would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to discover the current state of Maastricht and find out cool places to eat or have a drink. Definitely do this at the start of your holiday so you can go back to your favorite places (Geert shares a route map). // Februari 2020

Geert is a warm-hearted amazing person from beginning. Her local Maastricht “Hygge” tour covers so many wonderful places everywhere in Maastricht. The 3 hours tour went like instant flash. I enjoyed it very much & I will definitely take it again when I visit Maastricht again in the future.
